The Black Country LEP, along with the four Black Country local authorities and Homes England are working together to create a new 21st Century Garden City, which will connect into existing communities and infrastructure.
Organisers of this year’s fbe East Midlands Awards, which recognise and reward some of the region’s best construction projects, have unveiled the shortlisted schemes that are in line to take the top slots.
The list includes projects across Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire, as well as the best of the sector’s rising young stars.
Half of the sponsorship packages available at this year’s fbe East Midlands Chairman’s Awards Dinner have been snapped up already.
Now companies keen to be involved are being urged to get in touch soon if they are interested in the remaining three sponsorship opportunities.

Italian restaurant, Marco Polo in the heart of Newcastle city centre was the venue for the Newcastle branch’s first social event of the year. The event presented a great opportunity for the attendees to network in a relaxed, social environment.
Today is the Memorial Service and funeral of Malcolm Howard, a sad loss to the Cambria Branch committee, where he has served for well over thirty years. Malcolm received the honorary award for service in 2014, RIP.
Last Thursday the Manchester fbe branch hosted a fantastic dinner, in which Speakers and Sponsors who worked with the team in 2017 were celebrated.
