A message from the President
It will be a date in my memory. The 17th of May. Hand in over the National Chairman`s role in fbe. Five years went quickly on reflection, many memories and some might soon pass but importantly I met so many people, nearly all of them much younger than me but so many I am glad to have met. That was what it was all about, meeting people, I wonder how much I will miss that. Its really up lifting and to get some of the messages just last week, many thoughtful people. Names to remember.
My best wishes to the Board of fbe and particularly to David who is now the National Chairman, in whom I have every confidence he will do the job. He is a specialist in the one area which is so important; communications! And he`s a smashing bloke to boot I`ve been retired from professional work for 5 years and now also in the role of National Chairman as a Director but honoured that the Board have made me President for the coming year, and if I can help in that role I will. There will be no excuse now for not spending more time taking my hobby more seriously. Being a prolific painter is probably overstating it but I need to get on and paint....pictures that is.
Please stay in touch if you feel like .... but keep fbe in mind, particularly if you are young, so many success stories from those who have seen the advantages and rewards of membership. Thank you all.
Howard
