On behalf of all members and the 10,000 or more who regularly attend fbe events across the country. My thanks to the Board of Directors who have been dealing with fbe priorities during this pandemic, together with the Branch Committees they have had a great deal of hard work during a difficult year to ensure fbe will emerge from the crisis in a position able to continue to deliver membership objectives.  There have been many disappointments, particularly amongst them are the Branch contributions to their chosen charities. These have been severely affected because there have been no events to raise funds. 

Inspiring plans

Despite the challenges, an exciting growth plan and new business model will unfold.

As we start to emerge from the pandemic crises, the membership will I trust get behind the determination of the National Board and Branch Committees to embrace these inspiring plans.

I know there will be an appetite for “face to face” and that our members and those who regularly attend fbe events will want to meet up at safe venues as soon as they are permitted to do so.  I am confident from these recent meetings that our organisation is in safe hands; a Board of Directors, committed members, with a common objective, led by a sensitive, exceptional Chairman.
