Deputy Director, Deputy Director for Construction, Infrastructure & Materials Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy. Member of the CLC who is addressing the following themes;
• Construction sector productivity in the UK, international comparisons and the
challenge of improving this;
• The Government’s Industrial Strategy, and in particular the Construction Sector
Deal, with a focus on the £425m Transforming Construction Programme, in part
funded by the Industrial Strategy Challenge Fund;
• Changing the business model of the construction sector, including payment and
contractual practices, following the insolvency of Carillion; and
• The Implications of the Independent Review of Building Safety (Hackitt Review)
for the sector.
