Italian restaurant, Marco Polo in the heart of Newcastle city centre was the venue for the Newcastle branch’s first social event of the year. The event presented a great opportunity for the attendees to network in a relaxed, social environment.
On the night, there was a good mix of both members and non-members representing a number of disciplines. In typical Italian style there was much banter around the tables.
Speaking about the successful social, branch chair, Neil Thomson said: “I really enjoy holding the social events as it is what differentiates us from other professional organisations. We will be holding more throughout the year as I believe it is great way for people to network in an informal way. On the night everyone enjoyed themselves and the food was great!”
Future social events include the annual golf day on the 12th July which is being held at the Tyneside Golf Club, one of the finest parkland courses in the region. Also, following the success of last years’ Christmas drinks, the event will return to the trendy YOLO Townhouse on the 29th November. Make sure you book your places now!
