Event Details:

The Lancaster city region has a number of regeneration schemes that are likely to ‘flow’ or ‘grow’ in to opportunities. Kieran and Jason will provided updates on the Canal Quarter, Eden project, Bailrigg GV and the Heysham Gateway projects.

Jason Syers, Director for Economic Growth & Regeneration Lancaster City Council

Kieran has been with the Council since July 2017. He joined as Assistant Chief Executive with a broad remit in relation to Investment Commercialisation and strategic transformation and has recently stepped up to the role of Chief Executive on an interim basis.

An accountant by profession Kieran was previously a Group Board Director with Places for People a sizeable housing, development and regeneration group and prior to that held senior roles with Anglian Water plc.

Kieran has been involved over the last 30 years with large scale operations management, regeneration and asset management roles.

Jason joined Lancaster City Council in January 2019, bringing 25 years built environment  experience to the role of director for economic growth and regeneration.
A Chartered surveyor and town planner Jason has worked on a variety of development and regeneration projects across the UK and internationally. This includes mixed use development and neighbourhood regeneration at all scales, from village hamlets to large scale urban extensions. Including complex brownfield site assembly to conservation led economic growth initiatives.
Having worked within the public, private and third sectors, Jason has acquired substantial commercial and governance experience in all sectors to bring to address the challenges and  maximise the many opportunities across the Lancaster district over the next 3-5 years.

Doors will open at 7:15am with breakfast being served from 7:30am.  We will aim to finish around 9:00am but you are welcome to remain at the venue for additional networking until 9:30am.

After this event the fbe Lancashire branch will be holding their AGM and all members are welcome to attend.
