fbe Manchester - “Our GM Towns – What next?”
Date:1st July 2020
Time:11:00 AM - 11:45 AM
Non-member: Free (special rate for non-members during this period)
Originally planned for April before the world changed, we wanted to reengage with our panellists to understand how the Covid-19 Pandemic has affected their own communities and what impact it’s had on their future growth plans.
Recent years has seen a ramping up in development activity in the ring of GMCA Towns outside Manchester City Centre. Many local authorities have partnered with the private sector to push forward their own ambitious development programmes in response to the ripple effect of a successful city that has continued to grow on the international stage.
But what a difference 3 months makes? How has our recent lockdown experience shaped their future thinking? How do local authorities pick up the pieces and build resilience into the masterplans of the future? What challenges do they face? Where will the funding come from? What will be the true impact on the High Street? How do you ensure sustainability in development and transport planning?
Join the debate, live and online!
Our panel of experts will share their vision and debate what it could mean for the real estate market and the towns and cities of the future. There will be time to take your questions during the 45 minute session..
