Ann Bentley, Global Board Director, RLB will hold a short presentation on the Construction Playbook and Procure for Value followed by discussion and open networking opportunities.
Ann is a Global Board Director of Rider Levett Bucknall, a QS, PM and advisory firm employing 650 staff in the UK and 4,000 worldwide, operating in 40 countries.
Ann has a number of roles supporting cross industry initiatives and is a member of the UK Government’s Construction Leadership Council (CLC), and authored the CLC’s Procuring for Value Report. Ann sat on the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government’s Independent Expert Advisory Panel on building safety following Grenfell Tower, is a member of the CBI’s Construction Council and a Board Member of the Construction Industry Council.
Ann’s current focus is on making positive change in the construction industry. She has worked closely with the Construction Innovation Hub on the development the Value Toolkit, sitting on the Value Toolkit Board and leading the value definition workstream. Ann is also part of the Industry Steering Group on the Construction Playbook, contributing to both its development and implementation.
Following the presentation there will be an opportunity for networking in Zoom Breakout rooms.
Dominic Somerville, Regional Business Director for Wates Construction, will support Ann with the view of the Playbook could mean from the Contractors perspective.
Dominic has been working in the public sector most of his career and first got involved in Public Sector Frameworks nearly 20 years ago. This has included working on both regional and national frameworks in the Health, Education, Defence and Custodial sectors and more recently on the Scape National Framework. This background provides some clear insights into what works well and not so well in Public Sector Procurement.
