Event Details:
Leeds has developed an Energy and Carbon Plan with an aim to be carbon neutral by 2030. Our latest event considers whether this is achievable, particularly in the light of other economic and growth ambitions for the City Region. Our expert speakers will discuss some of the steps being taken and measures that can be adopted to turn these plans into reality.
Tom Smith of Hoare Lea will present current regulations of the Future Homes Standard (FHS), Part L and how the use of these tools will significantly contribute to the delivery of energy efficient buildings and the overall reduction of our carbon footprint.
Ben Sheppard of Walker Morris will present the current legal changes relating to net zero, forthcoming legal changes and practical tips to avoid traps and nuances within contracts.
Martin Elliot of Leeds City Council will discuss revised planning policies and the overall impact that these will have on future design within the built environment.
