A circular walking tour, starting at Leeds Minster and finishing at The Lamb & Flag for food, drinks and networking.
The tour, led by urban geographer Rachael Unsworth, will explain some contrasting parts of the city centre, including areas both north and south of the river. It will draw attention to how different eras of urban development (uses, styles, materials) relate to economic, social and technological factors as well as the availability of sites. You'll gain a vivid sense of continuity and change in the city and there will also be a chance to consider what the future is more or less likely to hold, bearing in mind recent and emerging pressures and opportunities.
The tour will be followed by a BBQ and drink in the Lamb and Flag with opportunities for networking. Please do let us know when booking if you would prefer a vegetarian option or if you have any special dietary requirements.
Do wear comfortable shoes. Also, please let us know if you have any difficulties in walking or are in a wheelchair so the route can be planned accordingly.
