Join us for a fascinating presentation from Adam Higgins, ground breaking co-founder of Manchester-based developer Capital & Centric, about city centre development approaches from his extensive experience.
Adam is co-founder of Manchester based social regeneration specialists Capital&Centric. His company is behind some of the north west’s largest property projects including a joint venture of the £250m Kampus neighbourhood in Manchester (working with Henry Boot Developments), Crusader (the refurbishment of a former Victorian mill in Manchester) and Littlewoods (the redevelopment of the famous Littlewoods Pools building in Liverpool into international film studios). More recently he has bought the former Eye Witness cutlery works building in Sheffield for conversion into loft apartments.
Capital&Centric made national headlines recently with their decision to ban investors from buying their apartments at Crusader, deciding instead to only sell them to people who are actually going to live in them! In the process creating the first owner-occupier community in the country. And in September last year, they made headlines again following a huge fire at the Littlewoods Building.
