FBE members are invited to join this event to gain an insight into how Leeds FBE is run. This is also an opportunity for you to raise any concerns, or questions that you may have for the Leeds FBE Committee. This event is free to attend but please note you must have booked in advance by clicking the link button above and you must be a current member of the FBE.
The election of committee members will be conducted at the meeting with many current Committee Officers standing for re-election. The current Secretary and Communications Officer will be standing down. Nominations for committee membership should be sent no later than Monday 24 February 2025 to the branch Secretary, Deborah Walls at deborah.walls@Walkermorris.co.uk.
The nomination form can be downloaded via this link and must be signed by the proposer and the nominee indicating their willingness to serve on the committee if elected. Please note that to be considered for election individuals must be FBE members.
Join us for our Breakfast Club. This event will be held at Capital Law’s, with a full breakfast spread (and we promise it’s more than just a pastry!) prepared by their in-house chefs. This is a great opportunity to meet, and catch up with, like minded peers over breakfast (and coffee!).
To celebrate International Women's Day FBE Lancashire is hosting an event on Wednesday 5th March. Join our panellists to hear their own inspirational stories and how they are promoting and supporting careers in construction for women and girls with incredible results. Joining us on the panel will be: Gaelle Blake - MD UK, Groupe Adequate ; Renee Preston, Operations Director, Galloway Construction ; Gemma Stubbs, BD Manager at Pulse Electrix ; Pamela Evans, The Digger Lady. The event is not just for women, it's for anyone who works in property, development and construction. OneCoWork is hosting the event and will be providing a light breakfast and tea and coffee. There's an opportunity for networking before the event starts just before 9am.
With the construction of the New Campus for the University of Bristol at Temple Meads we have managed to arrange a site visit courtesy of Sir Robert MacAlpine to view the new development during the construction stage.

The opening match of the 2025 season. Faculty of Building Golf Society are holding a competitive golf challenge with the “Every Professional in Construction” Golf Society at Sandy Lodge Golf Club, Herts/Middlesex on 20th March 2025.
Join us for an evening of games and networking with a drink, wings (vegetarian option available!) and fries at Chance & Counters on Gloucester Road.
We have an area reserved all evening with hundreds of games to play, it's a great opportunity to network with new people... whilst trying to win!

FBE East Midlands is excited to welcome you to an afternoon of fun, food and fast bowling. You can enjoy some healthy competition whilst indulging in the delicious buffet and all this whilst networking with fellow professionals in the heart of Nottingham.
The afternoon will start with our Annual General Meeting (AGM) between 15:00 and 16:00, everyone is welcome, and you can hear what the committee have planned for the year ahead.
The afternoon will then continue 16:00 pm to 18:00pm with each attendee enjoying two games of bowling and delicious food.

Following the success of our Get London Building event in January 2025, join the FBE London Committee for another engaging panel session from leading industry experts where we unpick what we anticipate will be a raft of further regulatory reform as a result of the Grenfell Tower Inquiry Phase 2 Report (expected in March). This report is likely to touch all corners of the built environment and our panel will be discussing the key questions such as:
- What does this mean for the direction of travel for the industry?
- What does this mean for the regulation, specification and use of construction products?
- What can the industry be doing now to start preparing for these changes?
Details of the panel will be confirmed in due course.
Join FBE Leeds on a fun journey through 300 years of pub and brewing history in Leeds, with great stories, beautiful buildings and drinks included at each stop.
Beginning at The Tetley, once the largest brewery in the country. Find out how it was formed, how it grew and what is happening today.
We'll then visit the Adelphi, a classic late-Victorian style pub. Enjoy the vintage surroundings whilst finding out about how beer was made at a brewery in the 1950’s, followed by a 'ghost' tour of former pubs and architecture sight-seeing across Leeds.
We'll then finish with a catch up over a pub dinner at Whitelock's Ale House.
This years AGM will be held before the AGM Dinner at We the Curious.

Faculty of Building Golf Society is opening the 2025 Golf Season with a celebration of St. Georges Day, an event at the home of England Golf on the Hotchkin at the Woodhall Spa Golf National Golf Centre on the 23rd of April 2025. The Hotchkin is a classic heathland course ranked in the top 100 best in the world Golf Courses.
We are now able to offer places and teams for the 2024 Early Summer fbe Birmingham Clay Pigeon Shoot.
Faculty of Building Golf Society are holding a ‘Ryder Cup style’ golf event open to members and non members, at Oakdale Golf Club on the 19th May 2025 Oakdale Golf Club is an established Parkland course with moorland acres amongst mature pines and only a mile from the centre of Harrogate. Designed by Dr. Alistair MacKenzie Oakdale offers highlights throughout the round. This is a superb opportunity to network in an absorbing peaceful yet competitive atmosphere the afternoon before a major conference in Yorkshire.
FBE North West Region are holding their 16th Annual Golf Day and are delighted to invite you to Caldy Golf Club, Wirral on 12th June 2025 for a day's golf and the opportunity to meet with fellow construction professionals.

With the arrival of summer and golf courses at their best the Faculty of Building Golf Society have a summer open event set in the heart of natural heathland. Ranked in the top 100 The Royal Ashdown Golf Club Forest is a course with 130 years of history and some of the most spectacularly natural fairways. It's a 'must play' and only one hour from London.
The season is well underway and the Faculty of Building Golf Society are holding a competitive golf challenge with the Chartered Surveyors North East Golf Society at Fulford Golf Club, Yorkshire 16th July 2025. Located close to the historic city of York. This course, situated in a heathland and and Parkland setting has been a regular stop for players on the European tour and hosted many prestigious County and National and International events. This is a superb opportunity for Golfing members to network in a slightly different competitive atmosphere, combining in teams with others in our industry with a common objective. A regional qualifier open event for members and non-members alike The match format will be in the style of the Ryder cup and pairs better ball stableford competition, playing handicap is 85% of Couse Handicap based on WHS Handicap index with 2pts win 1pt for a halved match and strokes off lowest handicap differences. timings 9:00 am onwards: Breakfast Role and Coffee on arrival and Practice 09.30am-10.30am Tee Times reserved 3pm onwards: Late Lunch and Golf Prizes.
