Beorma Tower is Phase 2 of the Beorma Quarter Development. Construction works commenced in August 2023, with the delivery of a new 30 storey, mixed use tower that soar 113m above the city! The tower is at the forefront of Digbeth’s renaissance and will be the catalyst for further development in the area. Its location will provide a natural link between the traditional city core and create a gateway to the Digbeth Quarter.
The tower will introduce 124 all-electric homes – 60 one, 45 two & 19 three-beds and 152,000 sqft of new commercial offices.
Beorma Tower will be served by 3nr independent staircases, whereby 1nr staircase there will serve the 10 floors of Commercial Space, punctuated by a plant room at Level 12 (a further plantroom is located in the Basement of the Tower), with 17 floors of homes thereafter served by 2nr staircases, implementing the Second Stair ahead of the mandatory requirements.
The Tower will be anall-electric energy / heating system, noting the Clients commitment to Carbon footprint reduction.
The 1930s frontage of 138 High Street & 135-137, will also be integrated into the building.
Facilities at Beorma will include, access to a Terrace at L10 for Commercial Occupier, a 28th-floor gymnasium for Residential Tenants, and 29th-floor penthouses with winter garden terraces.
The project team will provide an insight into the project, along with progress to date and talk us through the some of the challenges that they have faced, together with the challenges ahead in delivering this new Icon for Birmingham.
