fft Manchester - Tour of Middlewood Locks Development in Salford *SOLD OUT*
Join FFT MCR for an Exclusive Tour of Middlewood Locks.
We’re excited to invite you to join us for a tour of Middlewood Locks, a remarkable £1bn regeneration project connecting Salford with Manchester City Centre! The masterplan of Middlewood Locks, led by developer Scarborough Group International and designed by Whittam Cox Architects, has transformed a disused 25-acre neighbourhood to ultimately provide 2,215 new homes with 900,000 sq ft of commercial space for offices, a hotel, shops, restaurants, multi-storey car park and gym.
Zerum, Scarborough Development Group’s retained Planning Consultants, have advised on this project since the initial land acquisition. Reserved Matters approval was secured for three phases, with phase one completed in 2018, phase two in 2021, and phase three completing last November. The next phases of development consist of 909 dwellings and ancillary commercial development and outline planning permission for the remaining elements is in place for up to 93,000m² of office space, 1,000 dwellings, and 23,706m² of commercial space.
This ‘cool’ urban neighbourhood is evolving into a vibrant hub of modern living and working, with ‘Railings’ being the latest phase to complete with 189 apartments and townhouses. The tour will include insightful talks from Whittam Cox Architects and Nicola Wallis, Group Sales & Marketing Director of Scarborough Group. In addition, there will be walk-through of the Middlewood Locks site and showrooms to witness the vision come to life!
