Join the FFT Leeds branch for an insightful tour of the Climate Innovation District as a follow up to their successful 2023 event ‘Climate Adaptation: Thriving Tomorrow’.
This groundbreaking development by Citu is the largest sustainable urban living project in the UK, which integrates numerous innovative measures to deal with a changing climate including energy-efficient homes, flood mitigation and sustainable drainage on a former brownfield site on the edge of Leeds City Centre. On completion it will include more than 500 homes and apartments, a primary school, care home and commercial units, alongside Citu’s head office and factory which are also on the site.
Citu will be providing a tour of the Climate Innovation District, including completed townhouses and apartments, landscaping, plus new areas currently under construction - providing an insight into the innovative design and construction techniques used to mitigate the impacts of climate change.
Following the event, the Taproom at Piglove by the River will be reserved for attendees until 7pm, with a complimentary drink included in the ticket price (non-alcoholic option available). Street food may also be available for purchase (subject to availability).
