Event Details:
A tour of Holbeck, led by urban geographer Rachael Unsworth – the triangle of the famous industrial area associated with engineer Matthew Murray, the area of old mills and former dense housing along Water Lane to the west and the area around St Matthew’s Holbeck. The tour will consider the impact of the industrial revolution on this part of the City & changes since then, including prospects for the future.

The tour will be followed by a BBQ and drink in the Midnight Bell with opportunities for networking. Please do let us know when booking if you would prefer a vegetarian/ vegan option or if you have any special dietary requirements.

Our British summertime can mean unpredictable weather, so please dress accordingly and wear comfortable shoes.  Also, please let us know if you have any access issues, walking difficulties or are a wheelchair user, so the route can be planned accordingly.
