The FoB Society are pleased to invite you to the second regional Golf event. The players on the day in May at Blackwell Golf Club were so impressed they were hopeful we might return another day. We have therefore booked Blackwell again for the 2nd September. Tee off 11:00 am. This might be if interest. We are also pleased to have an event sponsor, Diales a member of the Driver Group of companies, Their Director, Chris Sunderland will present the prizes.
An open event; 4 ball format a pairs better ball stableford competition played to WHS handicap. The competition winners will be invited to the Inaugural Society event being planned at the end of the season. Breakfast role on arrival. The First tee time is 11:00 am Following the Golf event, players will be invited to remain for a late lunch at the Blackwell Golf Club.
The Blackwell Golf Club is a challenging 6250 yads 18-hole par 70. Founded in 1893 a nine-hole course was later re-opened in 1923 as an established Fowler & Simpson designed 18 hole which later was adapted by the gifted Herbert Fowler. Blackwell enjoys a fine reputation among amateur golfing circles and is featured in the top 100 courses in England.
There will be a breakfast roll on arrival and there is a meal after the golf. The details accompany this notice and invitation.
Please note: Blackwell have a rule when wearing shorts that they must be with long socks and also require a jacket and tie when dinning.
Members and Non members are requested to enter their names together with golf handicaps and can reserve the name of their guest until registration.
We are delighted to be returning to Blackwell in just over a weeks time. There is only opportunity for one pair to join us but will be then be full. Those who played last May will I hope recall some great moments and those yet to play Blackwell are in for a treat.
